Background
Steve was a partner at Dechert LLP before taking the position of general counsel at Teleflex Incorporated. When he joined the company, Teleflex was a diversified manufacturing company with approximately $150 million in annual sales. During his twenty-year tenure, the company grew to a NYSE listed global corporation with revenues of $2.3 billion in the aerospace, medical, automotive, marine and general industrial markets.
As general counsel, Steve concentrated primarily on acquisitions, major financings and management of litigation, while participating, as a senior member of management, in the development of corporate strategy and policy and managing the company’s Human Resources, Environmental, Safety and Health and Information Technologies departments.
Steve will now be able to bring this experience to helping small to mid-size public and private companies manage the increasingly complex legal issues that are the inevitable consequence of their growth. The breadth of his experience ranges from the ability to capture the essence of a businessman’s hand-shake deal in a simple and straight-forward agreement to the management of the most complicated and sophisticated corporate transactions.
With companies that are concerned about protecting and capitalizing on their technology, Steve brings thirty years of experience, both as outside and inside counsel, to advice on trade secret and patent matters, potential infringement issues and licensing of technology from the point of view of the licensor or the licensee.
Steve would welcome the opportunity to discuss with you how he might help you grow your business, whether by acquisition, leveraging of your technology or managing your legal affairs more efficiently.
